The International Association of Business and Parliament
Op 3 november 1997 heeft SMO met een zestal zusterorganisaties 'International Association of Business and Parliament' opgericht. Deze organisatie, onder leiding van de Engelse Industry and Parliament Trust, beoogt politici en ambtenaren te informeren over relevante ontwikkelingen in het bedrijfsleven en bevordert grensoverschrijdende contacten tussen het bedrijfsleven en de politiek. Ook maakt deze organisatie het uitwisselen van ervaringen van de leden-organisaties op dit gebied beter mogelijk.
